Victoria-Australia

1 day Penguin Parade and Koala Highlights tour

Before heading over the bridge to Phillip Island you will visit some of Australia's wildlife. Jump in for a swim or take a walk along the coast at Woolamai Beach before heading to the Penguin Parade at dusk. Watch in amazement as the penguins come out of the ocean and back to their homes.

Itinerary
We start the day at a fantastic wildlife park before meeting some furry Australian creatures up close.
Cuddle a baby wombat, hand feed the kangaroos and get friendly with koalas, dingoes, emus, lizards and native birds. Phillip Island is just over the bridge and the island is known for its natural beauty, sandy beaches, rugged cliffs and unique wildlife experience.
When the surf’s up at Woolamai Beach it’s really pumping; jump in for a swim or a take a walk along the coast. Stroll along the Nobbies boardwalk which runs along majestic rocky coast, which is home to a colony of fur seals.
After a short stop in the seaside township of Cowes for dinner (at own expense) we head to the penguin parade. The award-winning visitor centre is worth a visit. And then, as the day fades, you’ll witness the littlest penguins in the world emerge from the ocean and waddle onto the shore – it’s a truly magical experience

We return to Quorn where we stay two nights in private accommodation at the historical “Mill”. Get ready for tonight’s BBQ dinner – it doesn’t get any more Aussie than this! (LD)

Our bunkhouse for tonight is – you guessed it – underground. (BLD)

Sunrise over Uluru is magical and it’s an early start to catch it! While the morning’s fresh (and your legs are too!) take a walk around Uluru’s base (unguided), or climb to the top if you choose – however, the Anangu traditional owners prefer it if you don’t, before we take a guided interpretive walk at Mala. After visiting Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) we head to Kings Canyon, where we camp for the night. (BLD)
